“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength…” – Isaiah 40:31

The Testimony That Birthed a Movement

In the year 2019, I travelled to Halifax, Nova Scotia, exploring the land with a burden in my heart—to find direction for continuing my education and creating a future for my family in Canada. During that season, I engaged in prayer walks across the city, mapping the land in faith and committing every step to God. On one of those walks, I distinctly heard the voice of the Lord say:

“You will obtain, if you can tarry.”

Those words became an anchor. I spent countless hours in prayer throughout my stay, waiting on God with expectation. I later returned to Nigeria, carrying that promise in my spirit. By the following year, God orchestrated my return—this time to Winnipeg—and it was clear: the land was ready for me.

Now, five years later, the testimony stands undeniable:

“The land has indeed yielded her increase.” (Psalm 67:6)

What God spoke in a moment was fulfilled through seasons of waiting, praying, and trusting. This testimony became the foundation for TARRY YE.

The Vision of TARRY YE

TARRY YE is a prayer program inspired by God to help believers lay hold of their heart’s desires through persistent, focused, and faith-filled prayer. The program began in January 2025 and has since become a bi-annual gathering, drawing seekers from various walks of life who are hungry for direction, breakthrough, and divine alignment.

Our Vision

To help believers lay hold of their heart’s desires through persistent, focused, and faith-filled prayer.

Start of the Year

We gather on the first Saturday of the New Year to consecrate the year to God.

Midpoint of the Year

We gather again on Canada Day (July 1st) for prayers of thanksgiving and breakthrough.

Sacred Hours

Our gatherings are held from 6:00 AM – 9:00 AM, set apart to wait on the Lord.

Why We Tarry

“Tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.” (Luke 24:49)

Tarrying is not delay—it is preparation. Tarrying is not weakness—it is faith in action.

Strength is Renewed

When we wait on the Lord, our strength is renewed like the eagle's. (Isaiah 40:31)

Direction is Clarified

In His presence, we find clarity and guidance for the path ahead. (Psalm 25:4–5)

Power is Released

As we tarry, we are endued with power from on high to be effective witnesses. (Acts 1:4–8)

Promises are Obtained

Through faith and patience, we inherit the promises of God. (Hebrews 6:12)

Our Expectation

It is our earnest hope and confident faith that every prayer lifted during TARRY YE will be answered, and that testimonies will abound to the praise and glory of God.

“Call unto Me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things.” (Jeremiah 33:3)

When we tarry, we will obtain.
